Smile Charity South Sudan conducted peace-building workshops in communities in Nyiror County as an event intended to enhance social coherence, understanding, and peaceful coexistence among members of the community. Activities were specifically geared toward strengthening local capacities in conflict prevention, early warning, and the promotion of non-violent communication as effective approaches for resolving disputes. A total of 20 participants, 15 males and 5 females, were selected in order to ensure that the representation was inclusive of the communities. The participants become more knowledgeable, skilled, and committed to peacebuilding through interactive discussions, group work, and practical exercises. The workshops increased the participants' awareness of the role they were to play toward the achievement of peace ambassadorship, as well as their commitment and active involvement in promoting harmony, cooperation, and sustainable peaceful living among the people of Nyiror County through joint community efforts.
