Due to the internal conflicts that have occurred in Sudan, many people have been displaced and forced to live in camps. In this context, efforts have been initiated to deliver humanitarian assistance through various activities, particularly nutrition support, for families who are trying to sustain their lives in the camps under limited conditions.
Ongoing conflicts in North Darfur, Sudan-particularly in El Fasher-have forced thousands of families to flee their homes in search of safety. Tawilah continues to be one of the largest gathering points for internally displaced people, where limited access to humanitarian aid and severe shortages of basic services such as food and water have created serious challenges. As a result, hunger and malnutrition have increased, placing an even greater burden on affected families.
The food assistance operation carried out in Tawilah aims to support families displaced from El Fasher due to ongoing conflict and insecurity. The most vulnerable families were identified, and a total of 100 food packages were distributed, reaching approximately 700 people. This operation helped ensure short-term food security for displaced households that lack access even to basic food supplies.
Through the food assistance activities carried out in Tawilah, effective support has been successfully provided to families displaced from El Fasher. These efforts have made a significant contribution to preventing hunger and ensuring access to basic food supplies. At the same time, needs assessments in the region are ongoing. By identifying required humanitarian interventions and implementing targeted activities, support will be provided to help beneficiaries in the camps.
