Support 12 kids with hearing loss in Medellin

It is my duty to inform  the progress our 12  beneficiaries with hearing loss; but I also want to thank  for your support, without youit would be impossible for themto progress in their rehabilitation.

All of them have achieved significant progress in areas such as:

Educational Intervention Group:

• During this period, they managed to have more self-confidence, demonstrated progress in reading, although it is hard for them to understand what they read. They have significantly improved their handwriting.

Speech Therapy Area: in this area the following achievements were evident.

• Repeat short and long sentences, as listeners.

• Know and respect the basic rules of dialogue, such as speaking and respect the word of others.

• Understand simple visual and auditory absurd.

• Distinguish between you, him, and me.

• Produce voice inflections in his spontaneous speech

Alan is ten years old, he has bilateral sensorineural hearing loss and; during the first semester, Alan David provided excellent support to the program and demonstrated the following achievements:

• Recognizes the body parts and clothing.

• Complete the vowels in the words of the vocabulary of the family and school.

• Recognizes the numbers from one to ten

• Identifies word, syllables and vowels.

Alan is more confident and happy for the knowledge acquired, is gaining more independence to respond and participate in interventions. He interacts well with his peers and communicate effectively. He speaks better, receives instructions and reasons, is improving at handling the lines on the notebooks.
