Many children in Kano with cerebral palsy lack access to basic therapy, mobility aids, and caregiver support. This project will provide 300 children with physical therapy, assistive tools, and caregiver education. Early help can reduce complications, improve movement, and ease daily life. Funds are urgently needed to train health workers, equip therapy centers, and deliver support to affected families.
Children with cerebral palsy in Kano face poor access to therapy, assistive tools, and informed care. Many parents don't know how to manage feeding, hygiene, or daily care. Public health centers lack trained staff and tools to help. This leads to neglect, pain, and missed chances to improve mobility. Without help, these children struggle more as they grow older.
This project will connect 300 children with physical therapists and trained health workers. We will deliver mobility aids, set up therapy spaces, and train caregivers on how to manage care at home. Mobile teams will reach children who can't travel. By offering practical help, the project will reduce pain, prevent avoidable health problems, and help children live better.
With regular therapy and support, many children will gain better control of movement, reduce pain, and improve feeding and communication. Caregivers will learn safe ways to help at home. Over time, children may go to school or join more social activities. This will reduce stigma and ease the pressure on families. Trained local workers will continue helping others in the community.
