One of the initiatives taken by RSKS is the formation of Disabled People Organizations (DPOs) in the rural villages of Rajasthan. The purpose of these DPOs is to look after the rights of disabled individuals and to provide them with support and assistance. RSKS conducts monthly meetings for DPO members to discuss their problems and to provide solutions. However, there have been some issues with the execution of these meetings, which need to be addressed.
The main problem faced by RSKS is the lack of attendance at these meetings. Many DPO members do not attend these meetings, which results in a lack of participation and a waste of resources. The lack of participation makes it difficult for RSKS to provide the necessary assistance and support to the DPO members an this is the reason why meetings are required monthly so that a connection could be remained.
To address the lack of attendance, RSKS conducted an awareness campaign to highlight the importance of these meetings. RSKS India team members worked on improving the structure and organization of the meetings to make them more effective. This was done by providing an agenda for each meeting, inviting relevant guest speakers, and assigning specific tasks to each member of the DPO.
Improving the attendance and structure of these meetings will have a significant impact on the DPO members and their communities. By attending these meetings, DPO members will be able to voice their concerns and receive the necessary support and assistance from RSKS. Additionally, by providing a structure and organization to these meetings, RSKS will be able to address the problems faced by the DPO members in a more efficient and effective manner. This will not only improve the lives of disabled individuals but will also have a positive impact on the communities as a whole. By working towards the development and support of disabled individuals, RSKS will be able to create a more inclusive and equitable society.
