This project will support 6 vulnerable children to attend an annual Brave Kids Arts Festival in Poland in July 2014. The children will interact with other children from poor backgrounds to share experiences. The Festival gives children hope and courage to face their lives boldly. The children will perform traditional dance which helps vulnerable children deal with unresolved issues, identify talents and embrace culture. The six are part of a larger group that we support at the Center.
Chiedza support more than 1500 children with their families. They are from vulnerable backgrounds due to poverty and HIV/AIDS. Chiedza provide them with direct services and pyschosocial support to help them deal with their situations, boost self esteem and resilience through involving children in different activities including traditional dance sessions. The problem is 6 of the children were invited to Brave Kids Arst Festival in Poland to participate but we don't have funds to support the trip
The project will help us raise funds for bus fares locally, facilitate passport registration, processing of the Visas and meals in transit. Chiedza has more than 30 children particiapting in the drama but the best six will attend the Brave kids arts festival in Poland. They will showcase Zimbabwean Traditional dance. This is part of a wide variety of activities we offer at the center to help children deal with their complex situations due to HIV and poverty.
We will support 6 children to attend the Brave Kids Arts Festival in Poland. The festival will benefit children to have self esteem, confidence, hope and courage to face their life situations. Through cultural exchange, the children will learn to understand people from different cultures and background enhancing the spirit of tolerance and unity. The 6 children will also come and share experinces with the remaining group, which will also encourage other children to value their talents
