Dear Supporters,
My name is Hovik, and I’m a rising junior majoring in Data Science at New York University Shanghai. I’m delighted to share that I have successfully completed my second semester of sophomore year, marking another meaningful step in my academic journey.
This semester, I took Multivariable Calculus, Machine Learning, Chinese, and AI for Business. These courses were not only intellectually stimulating but also deeply aligned with my academic and career goals. I am proud to report that I maintained excellent academic performance across all classes, continuing the strong momentum from my previous semesters.
Beyond academics, I remained actively involved in campus life. I continued as a member of the Board Game Club, where we hosted a variety of tournaments featuring both international and Chinese games. I once again won multiple chess tournaments, and I’ve become increasingly fascinated by Chinese Chess (Xiangqi)—a game I’ve now learned to play and greatly enjoy. Engaging in these cultural and strategic games has enriched my university experience both socially and intellectually.
As always, I want to take this opportunity to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you. Your support has been instrumental in allowing me to pursue my dreams. Thanks to your generosity and belief in me, I am thriving academically, growing personally, and making the most of this incredible opportunity at NYU Shanghai.
With sincere appreciation,
Hovik
