Greetings to all,
We are happy to update you on our new exciting activities here at Imani House. Thanks to your support, our students had a very fun Summer and started the Fall with a great attitude.
At P.S. 150, our students are enriched with new activities that they have never been exposed to. Students from many different schools in Brownsville have joined Imani House as we are one of the very few after school programs in the area. The community is very welcoming and loves Imani House.
We have a new Program Director at P.S. 282. She has been with Imani House for four years and was promoted to this position in August 2015. We also have a new Curriculum Specialist who is working at both sites, helping our group leaders with lesson planning and other activities to better serve our students.
This year, we are introducing our students to quilting as they continue to enjoy the other activities like steel pan, salsa, chess, archery, African drumming and more. We also have a new clubs such as scrabble and drama.
Again, thank you for making all this possible. We appreciate your generosity. We will update you more as the year goes and we cannot wait to share our students' progress with you.
