Support 7 Weeks of Full-Day Summer at CAMP IMANI

Won't you consider supporting Camp Imani with any level of contribution? It's summer again.  Children will be off the streets in a safe space, learning good sportsmanship, sharing, anti-bullying, coping skills, investigative science, and so much more while having an experience they will never forget.  I've never forgotten my own summer camp experiences.  Please be reminded of how important this experience is for these children. Some of our former campers are attending college now!  

School here in N.Y. ends in two weeks and Imani House has everything in place for our 10th annual summer camp experience. We will host over 120 inner-city children here in Brooklyn for 7 weeks.  This year promises to be especially exciting with trips, performance arts, STEM, visual arts, martial arts, athletics, dance, music and more...

Dear Friends of Camp Imani House:

I hope this note reaches you in good health. I want to personally say thank you.  We could not have done our free after school programs and summer camp for over 19 years without you!  Your support has had immeasurable benefits for the children we serve, most of whom otherwise would not have the opportunity to go to camp or after-school. We hope that you will contribute to this important program, no matter how small.  It all counts.

Raising the Next Generation - Camp Imani is a free seven week full day program for 120 children that runs from July 1 to August 16 this year.  Our Camp exposes children to fun filled programming, including performance arts, sports, archery, leadership, and academic support.   

Many Parents and Children visit us long after the students move on to higher education. They credit Imani House with their success and thank us for caring for their children in a safe and supportive environment while they worked. Our former students, now young adults, and their parents often stop by to tell us that Imani House has played a major role in the positive direction the young people have taken with their lives.  

Providing Summer Camp is Important, especially during the summer months, when most  parents are working hard to provide for their families. Without opportunities to attend expensive summer camps, our  children may lack proper supervision, have little to do outside of watching TV or playing video games, and have insufficient engagement in activities to keep them stimulated and out of trouble.

An Exciting Summer Awaits 120 Chidlren at Camp Imani 2019.  We have begun planning a long list of exciting activities and trips. Applications are being accepted for the camp as we recruit the best staff, artistic consultants and volunteesrs for summer placement.  Trips and transportation have been arranged, along with an extensive list of programing sure to please the children.  Parents can rest assured that their child/ren are cared for and safe.
