Cathwel Service would send children in 3-6 years old at the orphanage Jonah House in Taiwan to preschool. All younger children need learn interaction with peers. Children at Jonah House also are eager for playing and learning at school. To help them with development, Cathwel Service would send around 6-10 children at Jonah House to go to preschool in 2015.
Young children at the orphanage Jonah House are almost waiting for adoption. They have been placed here because birth family could not grow them up. Most of them did not obtain good caring until coming here. Thus they do need more chances to learn and develop so that they can keep up with peers. Sending 3-6 year-old children to preschool supplies them with such a chance to learn interaction with peers and develop more social skills.
Funds of this project are going to be used for the children's preschool education. In order to let these children touch different peers or friends, Cathwel Service would select couples of preschools nearby Jonah House for them. We believe in that way, they can have more chances to learn as children in general families.
In 2015, there will be about 6-10 children at Jonah House being educated at preschool for a whole year through this project. It is going to benefit learning and development of these children, and make them more self-confident as well.
