Climate change, meanwhile, is accelerating the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events such as cyclones, floods, heat waves, and droughts.
For more than 160 years, we have been taking action and adapting to meet people's needs. Across France and in the 30 countries where the Frenc Red Cross is present, our volunteers are there to respond to crises, whether economic, health-related, social, climate-related, or personal. Our expertise in emergency response is real and recognized, and we also act to prevent crises and to be present after an emergency to help the people we support regain their independence is just as essential.
