Education for Poor Children!

SHARE used the funds raised to build permanent classrooms for our most marginalized orphan and vulnerable children.

The funds have also been utilized to provide the children with new school uniform, purchased a few teaching materials to improve classroom environment, and children’s literacy skills and teachers work made easy.  

Moreover, the raised amount also enabled us to put new strong metallic windows and doors in the newly built classroom, desks for the students to seat on and teachers chairs, cement floors to all the new classrooms and teachers pre room. Because of this great change in our classroom environment more needy children have come to join the school this year 2017.   

We all appreciate your generous donations towards the cause. and Thank you for helping SHARE PROJECT reach their goal of creating conducive learning environment, classrooms  for orphan and vulnerable kids to learn!

We were delight and stay strong that the children deserve such steps to access their rights. We are ready to meet our goal with passion and conviction. We appreciate your action and are committed to utilize the funds raised in its best.

It is with profound gratitude that I, on behalf of management and staff of SHARE PROJECT, share our 2016 accomplishments with you and look forward to the New Year 2017.

Your donations have gone a long way in improving the lives of children and their communities in Pallisa, Uganda. The funds allowed us to build additional 2 new classroom block, increase school attendance, and continue working on our children's learning environment.

Education

The Education interventions: Saw 80% children attending school regularly, 70% of orphan children were not able to have lunch at school for all the school terms as well as pay tuition. with the construction of more two new classrooms, the school population is expected to increase this new term 2017 to about 200 children total. There is a lot of excitement about the good facilities so put in place.

The school targets vulnerable children 3-12 years aiming to improve literacy and basic life skills. We work with their guardians, care takers and the general community to create a conducive learning environment that cares to support orphan and vulnerable children both in and out of school.

Our Promise: Everything to the Community-

We use your donations responsibly. We pledge to ensure that 90% of the funds are spent directly on supporting needy rural / orphan child’s education by construction basic facilities, purchase of school uniform, exercise books, pay for their meals and pay part of their tuition costs so as to keep them coming to school to complete their first primary education cycle.

How you can help!

Together, we can continue improving the lives of children in Pallisa, Uganda and beyond. You can consider to give a gift to our project today, we request you  to support our Project / sponsor a rural child  or Help build a kitchen or a Dining shade on the Globalgiving site any time and also invite a friends to donate too!:

By giving recurring donation; you will be helping in paying child’s or more than one child’s school fees and tuition to keep a vulnerable child / orphan at school, pay for their school terms meals or buy an orphan an extra exercise books for home/complete assignments, and if you can buy a solar lamp for reading at nigh- provision of solar lights as a simple solution to having light at night for rural school going children. Provide 200 litres of water each single school day to enable them drink clean and safe water, and some for preparing their meals and washing utensils.  

Kindly Partner with us to help build more school classrooms, a girls dormitory and buy mattresses for the needy children who sleep on the floor in their homes with no mosquito nets as a result they fall sick and do not attend school, hence scoring low grades eat school term un lucky ones die of malaria attacks especially if infected with HIV /AIDS, the school has such cases and also children with sickle cells disease. This project will help reduce on frequent sicknesses caused by cold floor, infections and many more challenges.

Thank you so much for your continuous support towards this project, This year 2017 we plan to start construction of a dining shade and school kitchen if the remaining funds we are requesting for is given by you. $9,900

"Am glad our school has now grown with a total of 4 new classrooms so far constructed 2014/2015. Am also glad to inform you that other GlobalGiving donors like you donated towards purchase of 5 teachers chairs, 30 school desks, 11 windows, 3 doors, constructed one teachers study room and much more, including last terms school meals for all kids. We are happy for this generosity from you all.

With your support this year 2017, Our project will be able to buy new school uniforms, shoes and school bags for the kids, we had also hoped to buy 50 mattresses for the kids as well as hold a Christmas party in the village for the children to celebrate together with their friends and families, but we did not manage to get you donating. our children have celebrated Christmas with no gift such a gift. However when you visit our projects on GlobalGiving, am sure you will be happy to support us.

School kitchen and dining construction work will begin only when we get your support; we have a plan to connect electricity and piped water to the school with your support any time of the year 2017.

We have a plan to train older girl children on how to make their own sanitary pads using locally available materials, we no longer buy pads but we make them due to lack of enough funds to support all their needs. Most rural poor girls come to school with no underwear, it’s a reality and we need to sponsor them to keep at school. When periods start, they stay away from school. Miss out classes / lessons. – Drop out of school eventually.
