Support the hopes of young people in Myanmar by adopting an eTekkatho library, providing rich educational resources to use without the Internet. MyLibrary is a tough, tiny, portable, battery-powered capsule which stores educational content and makes it available even in places with no internet connection or reliable electricity. This means we can provide access to educational materials to people living in many more places, including hard-to-reach areas. Ethnic language
As Myanmar (Burma) makes its transition towards an open and democratic society, nothing is more important than education. After years of isolation, the country's universities and colleges are opening themselves to the huge possibilities of online learning and international collaboration. Lack of technical capacity and internet provision are serious roadblocks on the journey to educational change. Ambitious plans to increase connectivity are proposed but will take many years to deliver.
We will provide MyLibrary device which is a tough, tiny, portable, battery-powered capsule which stores educational content and makes it available even in places with no internet connection or reliable electricity. We run training programmes to introduce users to the concept of a digital library and show them how to access, browse and download resources. This means we can provide access to educational materials to people living in many more places, including hard-to-reach areas.
A quality education changes lives. And it starts with you: with your support, we can build better libraries across the whole of Myanmar. We want to provide access to education to everyone in every state and region in Myanmar. With your help, we can provide fast and reliable access to educational resources at universities, schools and community libraries so young people can benefit from the opportunities.
