On June 17th, the Barnets Blå House Aalborg could finally hold the inauguration of their new building. City Councilor Mai-Britt Iversen cut the cord and said in her speech, among other things: "What you do is simply crucial in letting the individual child [...] break the vicious circle". At Children's Blue House, we celebrate new beginnings. The children and parents who walk through our doorstep have new beginnings in the hope of a better future! Helping them to a bright future through therapy and positive communities is our mission.
Our team from the Barnets Blå House organized different activities for kids this summer. One day they went to the Fårupamusement park with the kids, another time they took a trip to the Lille Vidmose centre where they observed animals in the moor. Kids, parents and the team had a great time together, laughed and enjoyed the summer days. One of the highlights was for sure the summer camp by the north sea. From playing musics, to doing sports to playing games and even to knitting, the kids experienced a week packed with great activities. But most importantly, the kids got to spend time with other kids, who experience similar difficulties at home. Spending time together, they realize that they aren’t alone, they get to open up to others and grow more self-confidence.
There are a lot of kids in Denmark who grow up in abusive environments. At the Barnets Blå Houses, these vulnerable kids get support to deal with their problems. It is important to support these kids as early as possible, to help them to grow into healthy and confident adults.
Thank you for everything you give to change the lives of many!
