Blue Cross Denmark runs more than 50 secondhand shops across the country, including an online store where you can buy secondhand clothing and items. The financial profits from the stores contribute to supporting vulnerable individuals of all ages in Denmark. By patronizing these stores, you’re directly supporting the local community members in need. Every purchase supports the work of the Blue Cross!
The financial gains from the secondhand shops play a crucial role in Blue Cross’s social work. The presence of secondhand stores in local neighborhoods showcases Blue Cross’s work throughout various cities in the country, ensuring visibility and accessibility for people in the local community. The secondhand shopes have therefore a great importance in representing the work of Blue Cross across the country.
Moreover, these shops serve as informal meeting spots where people of all ages can come together. There are offering spaces where people can gather, talk, and connect.
A huge number of volunteers dedicate their time to Blue Cross’s secondhand stores, not only to assist with day-to-day tasks in the stores but also to enjoy the community over a cup of coffee. The many volunteers are thus ambassadors for Blue Cross's mission, talking with people about the work and making it more visible!
Many thanks to everyone involved in this work, and a big THANK YOU for your generous support of this project!
