At Easter, surplus food from Lidl Denmark was given to Blue Cross Denmark, who distributed the free food to families in financial need. This brought joy to many families at Easter! The families and individuals who come to the Family Network have little money, so it makes a big difference to be handed free food. A bag full of food put a smile on many people's faces.
The food was distributed over Easter through the Danish Family Network, which is run in partnership with local churches across the country. This enabled many people to be reached. Around 60 adults and children received an extra bag of food at Easter. The Family Network is an offer of social interaction and free activities for vulnerable families who need a break from everyday life. The networks are run by Blue Cross Denmark in partnership with local churches.
In every way, this action is a win-win situation: less food waste - more heart!
Thanks to your donation, Blue Cross Denmark can continue to support families in financial need. Thank you so much for your generosity!
