Children from families with variety of challenges have had the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful programme of Blue Cross Denmark holiday camps. There are more families who do not have the opportunity to give their children summer vacation experiences. Many, because they do not have the economic resources or mental energy to organise such activities.
The 300 children and young people were this summer divided into 10 camps around the country. Each camp had its special theme or concept that gave the youngsters new experienced. Camps are now over and the youth are returning to everyday life. The Danish Blue Cross continues its activities for supporting Youth during their school year. The nice experiences from the summer make it easier to commit to further support. The connections created with other youth and leaders work as motivational factors to meet again.
