Dear supporter,
This summer once again showed how vital visibility and solidarity are for queer communities. Across Germany, more than 240 Pride events took place – yet many faced intimidation and attacks from far-right and extremist actors. In small towns and rural areas, organizing a Pride parade often means confronting hostility head-on, while still creating powerful spaces of joy, courage, and connection.
With our ongoing support for democratic projects and initiatives across Germany we also fund those who make queer life visible – by strengthening local initiatives, providing expertise and resources, and helping communities stay safe and connected. These efforts aim to protect democratic spaces where diversity and equality can flourish.
This is just one of our areas of focus. We continue to support a broad range of alliances and projects that strengthen democratic civil society – especially in rural and underserved communities.
