This project provides unbureaucratic emergency aid for households and families that have been hit particularly hard by the devastating thunderstorms in Carinthia in the night of June 29th 2022.
On the night of June 29th, 2022 devastating thunderstorms raged through Carinthia, devastating entire villages in the district Villach-Land. The greater Treffen area is completely flooded, a pensioner lost his life. In total around 250 households were hit by the disaster. Residents and rescue workers are trying to clean up the mess and save what can still be saved. But some have lost everything, have no clothes, no household goods, no food left.
Caritas Carinthia provides unbureaucratic emergency aid for households and families that have been hit particularly hard. Caritas is directly at the disaster area to support the people remaining in the area unbureaucratically with cash assistance, so they can at least purchase food, medicine and replace what they have lost.
We provide financial relief for urgently needed purchases (food, household goods, tools, etc.) or to pay for psychological care for children who suffer greatly from what they have experienced.
