Support green agricultural incubator for 100 girls

This initiative continues to inspire hope among adolescent girls in SaintLouis, Senegal. Our mission remains clear: to equip 100 girls with practical skills in sustainable agriculture, entrepreneurship, and food systems innovation, empowering them to become leaders in food security and community resilience.

What We’ve Achieved So Far

• 65 girls enrolled in training sessions, expanding beyond the initial cohort.

• Three garden sites now operational, producing vegetables with agroecological methods.

• Mentorship strengthened through partnerships with women farmers and agronomy students at Gaston Berger University.

• Nutrition and climate awareness workshops held, linking agriculture to health and environmental sustainability.

These achievements have sparked confidence among participants and pride within their families and communities.

Challenges We’re Facing

Despite progress, several barriers threaten the success of the training sessions:

• Insufficient irrigation systems: Water scarcity limits productivity and discourages participants.

• Transportation difficulties: Many girls from remote villages struggle to attend sessions regularly.

• Shortage of protective gear and training materials: Essential items like gloves, boots, and manuals are lacking.

• Social and economic pressures: Some girls face family expectations to prioritize household labor over training, requiring psychosocial support.

These challenges highlight the urgent need for additional resources to ensure continuity and scale.
