July Report of Activities at Mah Dis orphanage

July report of activities that took place at Mah Di’s Orphanage, Kumba.

 

Thanks for your helping hands in spite of your loaded private activities you were still ready to give us your smile.

 

BUILDING PROJECT

The orphanage is able to come up with a one story building for the primary school because financially, morally, materially, and physically you were there to do it once more we say thank you.

WORKSHOPS

Hair dressing: the female children are having hair dressing workshops at home. A trainer is hired to do this for 6 weeks. This includes: styling of hair and plaiting.

Sanitary pad: the children had another one day where they were trained to produce sanitary pads to be use during menstrual period.

Male children: they had a workshop out of the orphanage, where they were trained on welding.

CHICKENS BOUGHT

This time 700 1-day-old chicks were bought for commercial purpose.

SALE

A pig was sold to enable us repair and extend part of the piggery. Vegetables were cultivated by the orphanage, part was sold and part for consumption.

PLACEMENT

A mother and her 3-days old baby were placed at the orphanage by the social center while social inquiry was carried out. They spent two weeks with us. Another 11 months baby was temporally placed while social inquiry was carried out by the social center.

MEETING

Children: a brief meeting for the children was held to remind them of consequence of mal behavior and to bring them to order.

(MAOH) Meme Association of Orphanages and Homes was attended by the founded at diligent home.

VISITORS

Visits were made to the orphanage by individuals, church groups, music artist and social groups. They came in with donations like food stuff, dresses, shoes, toys, finance etc. for the up keep of the orphanage. Birthday parties also took place.

 

AIDS NET OF THE CENTER

Bih our blind friend and daughter visited us and some assistance was given to her. That is: foodstuffs and some finances to help her continue with her egusi market post.[egusi is a local vegetable]. Some widows were also supported with some foodstuffs.

CONCLUSION

Donors, we are very grateful and thankful for your relentless effort in this good work, continue. God bless you
