We are also pleased to report that, due to the generosity of donors, we’ve managed to continue providing monthly food staple packages to all students and their families – who all suffer economic hardships, since May 2020 to help ease the burden of life. In June 2021, we also provided hand sanitizers, tissues and bars of soap to all students to help maintain good sanitation.
In our EMpower – The Emerging Market Foundation (EMpower) extra curricula courses, all of our junior and senior high school girls joined the Girl Fund program, which used Photovoices methodology where they conduct interviews within their communities on gender equality, school dropouts and environmental problems, all of which they documented through photographs and PowerPoint presentation and presented to local and regional government through a photo exhibitions and presentations about these problems and potential on 10th of June 2021, coordinated by EBPP and Photovoices International. All students who participated in this program were very happy, because in the end they were able to present the Photovoices activity successfully even though they had to follow strict health protocols.

Our other students, took their end-of-semester test on May 24-28 2021, and at the beginning of June, we distributed report books to all students, who proudly took them home to show their happy parents,At the start of the 2021-2022 academic year on 12th July, we registered six new students in 1st Grade at Pengalusan school.

76th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, 17th August 2021
To commemorating Independence Day, which we cannot celebrate by gathering together for our traditional event, EBPP holds a virtual competition according to the level of each student. At the elementary level, there is a painting competition with the theme “the ideal environment around me, at junior high school level, there is a poetry writing competition and reciting on a video with the theme of Independence, and senior high level had a story writing competition with the theme “conserving the natural environment around us”. We are excited to judge the results and award prizes to the winners!
May this success continue to be achieved even in difficult situations like this. We thank all donors, without your help, we could not continue this Education program.
