Salariin Kampuchea continues to provided lessons and workshop training which are very helpful for young adults to apply for their social and career daily lives. Please read on to find out more about how Life Skills students, who just graduated and started up, benefit from these courses.
Within one year course, our 3rd generation of Life Skill students successfully graduated from the life skill classes in February 2015. With the test result of the final test, it shows up that 26 of 28 students of the 3rd generation passed the test. With the two failed, we provide them an assignment to remain the graduation of their course. To cheer up their graduation, we arranged the final trip to Koulen Mountain, a national and historical park in Siem Reap province, Kingdom of Cambodia and resort to see different biodiversity and the nature.
One student, Barang shared his feelings about the benefits of life skill course he has just graduated: “My name is Barang. I am a student at Salariin Kampuchea organization. I’m studying English.
I just finished life skill course maybe two months ago. It is exactly important for me because I know how to be a good person and good student in my society, how to do the presentation, how to build up my self-esteem, how to write a CV and be ready for a job interview. I also know better how to communicate with other people in the society and I can see different hotels and jobs during my course to visit hotels. I am feeling proud of myself because I get new knowledge from the life skill course. I really like life skill project”.
After the 3rd generation of life skill students graduated, we have recruited and selected and in the same time, the 4th generation of life skill students have started their first classes in the beginning of March.
Another student, Sovichta shared her feelings about starting her new life skill course with Salariin Kamppuchea organization: “My name is Sovichta. I study at Salariin Kampuchea organization for a long time with English and computer. Now I start learning life skill class. That is a great skill. Exactly it can improve my knowledge, my character and it makes me have an experience of work, know how to work well. My life skill class is very nice because all my classmates have a good communication with each other. I love my class. Everything that we have learned is very important in the future and the moment. I will try my best to study hard to graduate this course successfully”.
In the coming three months, we will arrange the first visit to hotels for the 4th generation of life skill students and start up their social and career lessons.
We are very proud to have provided this extremely valuable course, and we would like to thank all donors again who supported us through Global Giving.
