Challenge

The current Venezuelan context, a country immersed for several years in a severe socio-political crisis, has permeated the quality of life of many animals for various reasons. To this panorama, already quite complex, the COVID 19 pandemic was added a year ago with all the sufficiently known ravages in multiple areas in an extensive and widespread way.

Solution

With the delivery of concentrated feed to the 3000 animals benefited by the "Food Bank for companion animals", we estimate that we will impact directly in the short term, some 250-300 families, independent protectionists or communities. This human capital will be essential to implement sterilization-vaccination campaigns and that the improvement in the living conditions of the animals is achieved in a comprehensive manner in the medium term.

Long-Term Impact

Under this panorama, from Red de Apoyo Canino we have understood, through our own accumulated experience and countless experiences received daily, that contributing to improve the lives of companion animals that are circumstantially in precarious conditions, translates into positively modifying and substantially the quality of life of the people, families and communities with whom they live, from the human-animal bond, whether they are under direct protection or are community animals
