Affected families are still mourning the loss of their loved ones after the devastating earthquake that struck Türkiye and Syria earlier this year. Already vulnerable due to over 12 years of conflict and a worsening economic crisis, communities are struggling to recover.
Thanks to the support of our donors, NRC teams have been responding since day one providing displaced families with essentials like blankets, mattresses and clothing. We have improved the living conditions in emergency shelters by providing toilets, kitchen materials and access to clean water. NRC is continuing to support communities to recover by helping children get back to school, rehabilitating damaged water infrastructure (pictured) and supporting small businesses.
