From November to December 2025, Wonders International conducted coffee harvesting and processing training in northern Laos.
Building on the previous seedling distribution initiative, this training focused specifically on strengthening farmers’ capacity at the harvesting and processing stages. The sessions emphasized selective red cherry harvesting to improve coffee quality and increase market value. Farmers received practical, field-based guidance on how proper cherry selection directly impacts pricing and income.
Coffee processing group members were also trained on transforming red cherries into parchment coffee through proper pulping, fermentation, washing, and drying methods. Special attention was given to hygiene management, moisture control, and quality consistency to meet market standards.
By reinforcing skills beyond cultivation and into quality control and processing, this training helps farmers enhance product value and build more sustainable livelihoods.
Thank you for supporting sustainable coffee farming in northern Laos.
Warm regards,
Wonders International
