As the 2025–2026 academic year came to a close, EBPP teachers celebrated important milestones while preparing for new opportunities to improve learning for children in East Bali mountain villages.
From March to June, teachers supported students during their final semester assessments and graduation examinations. We were proud to celebrate the achievements of our Grade 12 students as they completed their learning journey with EBPP. The school year concluded with report card distribution, where parents were invited to join teachers in discussing each child's progress and future learning goals. These conversations strengthened the partnership between families and teachers, recognizing that education is most effective when schools and communities work together.
Each month, our teachers also participate in a Professional Learning Community, where we reflect on classroom experiences, discuss students' progress, and share practical teaching strategies. These regular meetings help us better understand students' needs and continuously improve the quality of learning across EBPP's schools.
As we prepared for the new academic year, our professional development continued beyond the classroom. In June, we all visited ‘Astungkara Way’ near Ubud to learn how regenerative agriculture and community-based tourism can support sustainable rural development. The experience provided valuable ideas as EBPP continues developing its Village Tourism Curriculum, helping teachers connect classroom learning with local culture, environmental stewardship, and future livelihood opportunities.
Teachers also participated in the 2026–2027 Curriculum Training, where we worked together to design more engaging, student-centred learning experiences. By combining new teaching approaches with insights gained from our learning exchange, we are better prepared to create meaningful education that reflects the strengths and potential of our respective communities.
We sincerely thank our GlobalGiving supporters for investing in our growth as educators. Your generosity enables us to continue learning, collaborating, and providing quality education that empowers children in The East Bali to build brighter futures.
