Kidney failure patients in Syria face extremely difficult health and humanitarian conditions due to the severe deterioration of the healthcare system, shortages of medical supplies, and the high cost of treatment. Dialysis is a life-saving procedure that cannot be postponed, yet thousands of patients struggle to access regular dialysis sessions.
Key challenges include the limited number of functioning dialysis centers, frequent power outages, shortages of essential medical consumables, and high transportation costs—particularly for patients living in rural or conflict-affected areas. These conditions have led to worsening health outcomes and increased medical complications among patients.
In response to these critical needs, Saed Charity implemented humanitarian interventions to support kidney failure patients and ensure continuity of life-saving treatment. The support included providing dialysis centers with essential medical supplies and contributing to the cost of dialysis sessions for patients who cannot afford treatment.
Special attention was given to the most vulnerable groups, including elderly patients, children, and displaced individuals. All assistance was delivered in line with humanitarian standards that prioritize dignity, equity, and the right to healthcare. These efforts significantly improved access to treatment and reduced interruptions in dialysis care.
Saed Charity reaffirms its commitment to continuing support for kidney failure patients across Syria. By expanding health-focused programs, the organization aims to save lives and alleviate the suffering of patients and their families amid ongoing humanitarian challenges.
