Building on the success of the first cohort of the entrepreneurship program (which ended in September 2024), the WSEI launched Phase 2 in April 2025 in Kenya’s Coastal region. This second cycle supports 25 early-stage female founders, specifically in the green and circular economies.
During this 6 month program :
Women receive training not only in core business and financial management, but also in digital skills, human-centred design, mental health, and sustainable/eco-conscious entrepreneurship. This broadened curriculum reflects a holistic vision of entrepreneurship — beyond profit, toward impact and resilience.
A key milestone: a Mid-Program Pitch Competition held on 26 June 2025 at the I.O.Me Fablab in Mombasa. At this event, entrepreneurs received feedback from prominent ecosystem actors — boosting their confidence and investor-readiness
A study is currently conducted to measure the impact of the program.
