Financial & Campaign Status
Dear GlobalGiving Community,
Thank you for your continued interest in protecting vulnerable children through American Aid (A A Relief). This quarter, we are sharing an update on our project “Support 150 Vulnerable Orphans in Rural Uganda!” Through our Generosity Builds Hope initiative, we are preparing to provide comprehensive care for orphaned children who face daily hunger, missed schooling, and unsafe living conditions without family protection.
Although the project has not yet received donations through GlobalGiving, we used this reporting period to strengthen program readiness and community coordination so we can begin implementation immediately once funding starts.
Progress Update (This Quarter)
During this quarter, our team focused on reinforcing the operational foundation needed to deliver holistic, accountable support for 150 children. Key areas of preparation included:
- Strengthening coordination with local community networks and trusted partners in Uganda to support safe identification and verification of vulnerable orphan cases.
- Refining our approach to deliver integrated support (nutrition, education, healthcare, and protection) rather than one-time assistance.
- Preparing a documentation and tracking approach to ensure transparent reporting on meals provided, school attendance supported, healthcare visits completed, and child safeguarding measures.
Community Need & Child Protection Focus
The need remains urgent and severe:
- Uganda has over 2.4 million orphans, and 95% live in extreme poverty.
- Rural orphaned children face chronic hunger, limited healthcare access, and high risk of exploitation.
- Without intervention, many children miss school due to lack of fees, uniforms, and supplies, and long-term outcomes can lock them into generational poverty.
Our work prioritizes dignity and child protection. These children are not statistics—they are students, future leaders, and young lives that deserve safety, stability, and opportunity.
Program Model (What Funding Will Deliver)
Once funded, American Aid (A A Relief) will provide comprehensive support for 150 vulnerable orphans, including:
- Daily nutritious meals and clean water to reduce hunger and improve health and learning.
- Full school fees and educational supplies to keep children enrolled and progressing.
- Uniforms and shoes so children can attend school with dignity.
- Basic healthcare and medical checkups to prevent and treat common illnesses.
- Safe shelter support to reduce exposure to dangerous street conditions.
- Dedicated mentorship and life skills support to build resilience, confidence, and hope.
We work closely with local guardians and community leaders to ensure culturally sensitive, community-led support that is sustainable and accountable.
Challenges & Strategic ResponsePrimary Challenge: Funding remains at $0
Without funding, we cannot begin delivering the full package of nutrition, education, healthcare, and protection services.
Our response this quarter:
- Strengthening readiness so we can begin quickly once initial gifts arrive.
- Building the program for phased implementation, allowing us to start supporting children as soon as partial funding is available.
- Maintaining strong partner coordination to reduce costs and maximize impact per dollar.
Next Quarter Plan (Pending Funding)
In the next quarter, once funding begins, we will:
1. Begin enrolling children through verified community channels.
2. Launch initial support activities prioritizing urgent needs (meals, school access, and essential health support).
3. Provide transparent reporting on outputs (children supported, meals delivered, school fees covered) and outcomes (attendance, health improvements).
Expected Long-Term Impact
With full implementation:
- Children will complete primary education, with 70% advancing to secondary school and beyond.
- Improved nutrition will strengthen physical health and cognitive development.
- Children will gain stability, mentorship, and hope—reducing vulnerability to exploitation.
- As educated adults, they can break generational poverty cycles and uplift others, creating lasting community transformation.
Closing
We are ready to begin as soon as the first donations arrive. Your support will provide meals, education, healthcare, and protection—giving 150 orphaned children the chance to grow, learn, and thrive.
With gratitude,
The American Aid (A A Relief) Team
