Dear Donors,
Palm Institute would like to use this opportunity to welcome you all into 2016 and wish you progress and success in the year.
Students of Palm Institute returned safely from the Christmas break after successfully writing their end-of-first-semester examinations for the 2015/16 academic year.
As part of our service to mankind and the community, all our students are mandated to serve in a community. Currently, all our final year students have begun their community service in selected institutions in Accra. The institutions include schools and hospitals. Palm Institute looks forward to extending this to other sectors when the time is due for the next batch of students to do their community service.
We have also organized a series of career seminars for our students to afford them the opportunity to learn from experienced industry experts who speak at these seminars.
Our Students’ clubs have also been effectively constituted at the beginning of this semester. As part of the activities for the semester, the Palm Sustainability and Development Club for instance started a Social Entrepreneurship Program where they went for a fact finding tour In Matsekope in Ada in the Greater Region and Amanfrom in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
Currently, we are adding extra features to our campus facility in order to meet the accreditation requirements of the National Accreditation Board (NAB) of Ghana. When these renovations are complete, our team will appeal to the NAB for a second visit to our campus for possible accreditation to offer three-year degree programs. The success of this initiative will add extra value to all that we do here at Palm Institute and more especially, it will offer greater opportunities for our students.
We continue to express our profound gratitude to all who have been supporting us and our donors for the past several years. Your continued support have been the backbone behind Palm Institute and the difference it is making in the lives of young people in Ghana. We could not have been here without your generosity. Thank you!
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all our friends who joined us for our annual fundraiser in Portland, Oregon at the beginning of this year. We are very grateful you joined us.
