ACFA's children continue to thrive thanks to your support.  Here is what is happening on the ground:

Education: Diakasan ranked number 1 of her class, and Lacine and Adama, who ranked poorly last year, resurfaced with both ranking amongst the top 5 of their respective classes. ACFA-Mali received support from a volunteer, Marianne who assisted the children in their school and homework assignments in January.

Taekwondo: Koro and Kadiatou won their fights in this year's Olympic Committee's competitions.  Diakassan's competition is scheduled for March.  Salle earned his blue belt and Fanta her yellow belt.

Nutrition: March is national nutrition month.  This year's theme is "Bite into a Healthy Lifestyle".  We are celebrating this by having special educational sessions for both the children and the staff at ACFA-Mali to include informed food choices and healthy eating habits.  The program will culminate with an evening of celebration of lessons learned and dinner event.  Additionally, we are integrating this year's program with the role and importance of physical education ie the children’s athletic programs of basketball and taekwondo.

Zorokoro: Construction continues at Zorokoro, where we are now building a recreation area and a kitchen.

Thank you for your continue support.  Look forward to our annual report to be published in April.
