Sustain Lives of 25 Orphaned Children in Tigray.

This month, Mebriata Children’s Foundation had the joy of distributing brand-new book bags to the children under our care. Each bag wasn’t just filled with supplies—it was filled with hope, encouragement, and the belief that every child deserves the tools to learn and thrive.

For many of these children, something as simple as having their own school bag makes a world of difference. It means walking into the classroom with confidence, feeling prepared, and knowing that their community believes in them.

This is just one step in the incredible journey we are building together—lifting children toward brighter opportunities and stronger futures.

On April 26, Mebriata Children’s Foundation hosted an annual fundraising dinner to support our mission of uplifting orphans and vulnerable children in Tigray. Over 70 guests, including individual donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners, attended the event to celebrate the impact of our collective work and raise crucial funds for our programs.

Key Highlights:

Donor Participation: Over 80 individual donors contributed, and five generous sponsors were recognized during the evening for their ongoing commitment and support. Their contributions played a vital role in making the event a success.

Keynote Speaker:
We were honored to welcome Georgia State Senator Estevez as our keynote speaker. Senator Estevez delivered a passionate and inspiring speech about the importance of community-based initiatives, equity in education, and standing with children affected by war and poverty. His message resonated deeply with the audience and reinforced Mebriata's mission and values.

Program Details:
The evening featured a full dinner, a silent auction, and a program highlighting our impact and future goals. Three of our youth volunteers shared personal testimonies that moved the audience. We recognized key supporters, including volunteer and dedicated donor.

Impact:
The funds raised will directly support a program to empower children and families affected by war and poverty to reach their full potential.
