It has always been the goal of New Hope Centre to focus on total wellness in body and soul of our dear orphaned children. While we have been able to get our students involved in swimming and track and field it has always been our dream to have a field on-campus where they could train and play right at home. That dream has finally become a reality.
Recently, the YKK Japanese zipper-making company officially handed over the multi-sport court to New Hope Centre. This is a 15-year-old dream come true. The court is intended for use in soccer, tennis, basketball, volley ball and badminton. Colored lines will differentiate the court for each game. We already started talking with our neighboring school to make arrangements for sharing the facility in this new year. The location for this court was carved out of the ground 25 years ago as the preparations were made for long-term planning. And now, this court is a reality.
Our connection with a YKK came through Miss Nanami, Miss Cultural Heritage of Japan. She visited us three years ago and has been our champion at raising awareness and love for our country and our Abraham family.
Gary Davidson current General Manager of YKK ESwatini (Swaziland) made the presentation with several of his leadership team from their plant. YKK wanted to pay it forward into our community as they celebrated their 40th anniversary of their presence in ESwatini. We thank all who have made this the fulfillment of a dream.
We knew you would be excited right along with us since this further enriches the lives of the children you support thru this project. We wish you a year full of the blessings of God in all the ways you need His presence.
From our hearts we share this progress.
