Most of the children who have come thru New Hope Centre were very young. But that has not always been the case. Just in the last few months four new children have come to join us to receive sustenance and nurture. Three of those new arrivals have been known to us since their mother abandoned them and their father died. There were five children who were living by themselves in a small home built for them thru donations. Lindelani came to us because her 6 year old brother had mistakenly poured boiling water all over her. When we collected her for school in the morning she was delirious with pain and fever so we took her to hospital. While she was recovering with us the two other youngest children were is terror each night when leaving preschool. Now the older children are managing in a small home built thru the generosity of donations. We do need extra funding so that we can provide food and clothing for them. Young Baphiwe, born in 2015, has also joined our ranks. We treasure each one of these additions to our family as we take care of their needs, educate and bring them up with care and respect.
You will notice that one of the pictures our new children includes one of our elder daughters, Joanna. She has a heart to nurture and since the age of eight it has been her dream to have her own beauty salon (Which she has already named Beauty Daughters), to help girls who have been caught up in the cycle of human trafficking. This would be an entry point to serve as segue into deeper healing and restoration. At one point she went to Cambodia to work with an organization working to give men and women alternative professions in order to see how it was done there.
Joanna has never lost that vision. Her sensitive, compassionate heart has continued to seek out ways to make these dreams reality. Finally, things have begun to fall into place that will give her the start she needs. While attending the Christian Alliance for Orphans in Dallas this year as a delegate she met a professor emeritus from Grace College in Indiana. Through a series of miracles she returned to Swaziland to apply for her USA student visa to go as a fully sponsored student of Human Services.
And so the circles continue to go out from New Hope Centre. From the small beginnings such as our new four children to Joanna and many others you have be an important part in giving these kids a sense of belonging. Thru your demonstration of love to them they have been able to pass it on to others. Your faithful donations to their futures will send ripples out to the ends of the Earth.
We thank and bless you,
