Dear Supporters,
Thank you for your continued trust and support. Because of your generosity, a vital community-led initiative is taking shape in Syria—one that responds to the growing need for a unifying framework that brings local actors together, coordinates their efforts, and gives peace initiatives the collective strength needed to create lasting impact.
The Local Peace Resources Network is more than a coalition of organizations. It is a grassroots peace infrastructure built from the ground up, grounded in local expertise, and designed to connect scattered efforts under a shared vision. Over the past months, the network has proven to be a safe space for dialogue and joint action, and a strategic tool that empowers communities to lead their own recovery after years of conflict.
Key achievements over the past four months include:
194 individuals registered through the network’s platform
77 local peace resources actively engaged in dialogue sessions, including:
5 community initiatives
16 volunteer teams contributing to peace efforts
33 local organizations sharing expertise and action
22 local associations formally joining the network
25 specialized research papers produced to support informed decision-making
14 dialogue and consultative sessions held
Engagement across 7 governorates
These figures are more than numbers—they reflect a growing circle of trust and collaboration among local actors across Syria.
Why this network matters for peace and recovery:
Strengthening social cohesion by connecting communities and facilitating inclusive dialogue
Empowering local actors—organizations, associations, and volunteer initiatives—to become part of a national peace architecture
Unifying efforts through a shared coordination platform that breaks isolation between regions
Supporting early recovery through community-led initiatives that respond directly to local needs
Producing locally grounded knowledge to better understand conflict dynamics and develop context-sensitive responses
Contributing to a community-based early warning and response mechanism to address tensions before they escalate
Today, the network is gradually evolving into a national infrastructure for local peace—driven by people’s will, informed by lived experience, and sustained by the resilience of Syrian communities determined to rebuild despite immense challenges.
Every session and every initiative has reaffirmed a powerful truth: peace in Syria begins from within—led by local actors who know their communities and are capable of building a more cohesive and stable future.
Thank you for standing with us and for believing in this journey. Your support is helping lay the foundation for sustainable peace and genuine, community-led recovery.
