Tablets for disadvantaged children in Romania

The "Tablets for Disadvantaged Children" project aims to bridge this digital divide by providing tablet devices to these children.

Digital education is crucial for disadvantaged children as it helps bridge the educational gap and provides them with opportunities they might not otherwise have. By utilizing digital platforms and resources, these children can access high-quality educational materials, interactive learning tools, and online courses, regardless of their geographic location or socioeconomic background. Digital education also fosters self-paced learning, personalized instruction, and flexibility, allowing children to overcome barriers such as limited resources, lack of qualified teachers, or physical disabilities. By empowering disadvantaged children with digital education, we can help unlock their potential, expand their horizons, and create a more inclusive and equitable society.

Throughout the past year, our organisation has been implementing a project named 3M Computer Science After-school club. Together with 3M, through their community grants, we have managed to found 3 IT & Media Centres in 3 underserved schools in Suceava county. At the same time, the project was more than that – it meant bringing children and young people closer to business communities and equip them with essential skills for a professional life.
