Challenge

Brazil currently has a population of more than 207 million in habitants and almost 14.8 million unemployed. Of these numbers, 17% are young people aged 14 to 24, the age group that concentrates 7.1 million people who neither work nor study, the so-called young neither-nor. The poorest are even more affected, the average salary of a young person is US$240 per month, with 10% of the most vulnerable group living on less than US$100, resulting in a lack of perspective.

Solution

The Start Program's structure encompasses three essential pillars for professional and social transformation. Socio-emotional development; Technical training in technology; Essential tools for the technology market.

Long-Term Impact

The vulnerable population, without receiving incentives, is left to pain, violence and hopelessness. A large portion of this population does not have access to technology and digital platforms that are essential for life, for learning and also for inclusion in the labor market, which makes it possible to achieve autonomy and protagonism. With your support, around 3,000 young people will be served by Rede Cidada's Start Program and will have real chances of leaving their vulnerable condition.
