Since the last report, the project has continued with early planning and teacher outreach while fundraising remains the immediate priority. So far, the project has received just $1 in donations toward the $6,000 fundraising goal, leaving $5,999 still needed to fully implement the planned activities. Because funding is still at an early stage, no major training activities or project expenditures have taken place yet.
The project team has continued engaging teachers from the five target schools and preparing for implementation once sufficient funding is secured. To date, 15 teachers have expressed interest in participating, demonstrating strong demand for practical training in child-centered teaching, literacy, numeracy, and classroom management. Initial conversations have also helped identify challenges teachers face in keeping pupils engaged and moving away from traditional rote-learning approaches.
With only 1 donor and $1 raised so far, additional financial support is urgently needed to move from preparation to full implementation. Once funded, the project will train 75 primary teachers, provide practical teaching resources and mentoring, and ultimately improve learning outcomes for more than 3,000 children each year.
