Dear respected donors,
Thank you for your kind support toward training 800 girls in Nigeria and Ghana in bakery skills. The donations received so far are still too low to begin the training and distribution of equipment, but we are grateful for your early contributions and want to share the urgent need this project aims to address.
Across both countries, many girls drop out of school due to poverty, early marriage, and lack of job prospects. Without steady income, they struggle to pay school fees, buy sanitary pads, or cover basic medical needs. Limited access to practical training forces many into low-paid work or complete dependence on others. This keeps households trapped in hardship, and young women lose the chance to build confidence and financial stability.
This project will train 800 girls in bakery production, including bread, pastries, and cakes suited for local markets. After completing the training, each participant will receive baking tools and a small grant to start a home-based or community bakery. This will give them a steady source of daily income and the ability to support their education, healthcare, and personal needs.
Once fully funded, the program will create safe training spaces, hire experienced instructors, and provide hands-on practice. Graduates will leave with the tools, skills, and confidence needed to run a small bakery business. As income grows, participants can support their families, stay in school, and train other young women in their communities.
We remain grateful for every donation received so far. Your support brings us closer to giving 800 girls a real chance to gain practical skills, lift themselves out of hardship, and build stronger futures for their families.
Warm regards,
