The ITIE 2016 Conference is reaching it final stage. Speakers and Panelists have confirmed their engagement at each venue. While the entire conference has the MakerSpace, Creativity in the Library theme, each venue has specific focus.
For Beijing, it is for Cultural Innovators.
For ShenZhen, it is for Innovators and Designers.
For GuangZhou, it is for Everyone. And,
For Wuhan, it is for Students and Educators.
The conference is free for educators to attend, and we thank our supporters for their funding of 90 teachers from Rural China to attend. This project's intent is to propagate MakerSpace spirit as well as methods and network as a springboard for educators and students to create MakerSpace that works in their community.
We believe that students is a key part of success. To that end, we have a contest open to schools several months ago. Eleven teams from China and two from America entered the third stage of the contest. The winners will be funded to show their stuff at the conference. We are very excited about that. Some pictures and photos are included in the attachment.
If you know anyone who would be in the four cities at the time of the conference, please come by, attend a few sessions and chat with the teachers from rural China, other attendees and volunteers. It would be my pleasure to see you there.
