More than 1500 in total attended the sequential 4 cities, 5 venues during the 8 days span of the ITIE 2016 conference. That included Schools teachers from the Evergreen Education Foundation schools, top teams in the MakerSpace contest that was shared in prior reports.
For the top contesting teams, they showed their creations and got questions and feedback from the attendees. For the attendees, this was a great opportunity to learn and network with each other including with the experts who have MakerSpace in their respective jurisdiction. The closing summary by EEF President, Professor Faith Chao was everyone can be a maker while the common message from the experts was failure was a key element of learning.
The program included Dialog Panel where the experts from the East and the West shared their expertise. A couple of photos showed the before conference Panel Dialog at Beijing University. There were four other dialogue with different mix of experts at the other four venues.
We have had the fortune of hard working and passionate volunteers, working with our hosting partners' staff to make the conference go smoothly. One voluneer, Vicky Wu wrote a piece about what she did and learned. Please see the attached document.
I will have other resports to share multiple aspects of what your donation contributed to the success of this undertaking.
