Thanks to your support, our marathon runners in Kenya have been able to continue their training and improve their performance. Currently we are providing food and accommodation for some of them, and we hope through your support that we can build a training center for them.

Recently most of the underprivileged runners that we support through your help were able to participate in a marathon event at Kericho County that was organized by Tea Board of Kenya. Some of those who showed great improvement include: David Langat, Alfred Kering, Benson Ngeno and Joyce Chepngeno. Other members participated in the 10K race and also ran well.

It is also important to acknowledge the fact that one of the runners (Ngeno) has improved significantly in his performance since we started supporting him. He has therefore earned an athletic scholarship to pursue his degree at a college in the US.  It's wonderful to know that we helped to lay a foundation and position him for a great future as a runner.

We deeply appreciate all the support you are giving these young underprivileged runners. Lives are being changed one at a time. Thanks so much for your support!

We wanted to also let you know of another opportunity that helps train youths. Develop Africa is launching a new computer lab where youths will receive free computer proficiency training.  On Wednesday June 25th from Noon EDT, till matching funds run out, all donations up to $1000 on our Empower Youths Provide Computer Training page will be matched by Microsoft YouthSpark.

We are bringing this to your attention because it represents a great matching opportunity where the lives of many youths and YOUR impact will be DOUBLED.

Please save the date / time Wednesday June 25th from Noon EDT and join is in blazing a new path for youths!
