Thank you once again for your continued support. Every donation you make is helping to improve healthcare and quality of life for thousands of people in rural northern Tanzania.

Over the past few months we have continued to see the positive impact of the upgraded backup power system installed at Terat Health Centre. Reliable electricity means healthcare staff can continue treating patients safely during power cuts, particularly during emergency night-time deliveries when dependable lighting and essential medical equipment can make a life-saving difference.

Your support is also strengthening the wider community. The nearby community radio station continues to broadcast trusted health information, maternal health advice and public health messages across the Maasai plains, reaching remote communities that often have little access to reliable healthcare information. Access to accurate information remains one of the simplest and most effective ways to improve health outcomes.

Alongside maintaining these existing systems, our team has continued developing sustainable energy solutions across rural Tanzania. We are applying lessons learned from Terat to new community energy projects that support healthcare, livelihoods and local businesses. By combining clean energy with productive-use opportunities, communities are becoming better equipped to generate income that helps maintain essential services long into the future.

The greatest impact of your generosity is confidence. Health workers know they can continue caring for patients during power outages. Families know their local clinic is better prepared for emergencies. Communities know they can rely on accurate health information when they need it most.

There is still more to do. We continue to raise funds to expand the solar generation capacity at the health centre so that more medical equipment can operate from clean, reliable energy while reducing electricity costs. Every additional solar panel increases resilience and allows scarce healthcare funding to be directed towards medicines and patient care instead of energy bills.
