Empower, Engage and Excel

Empower, Engage, Excel
Empower, Engage, Excel

The previous few months have been full of interesting experiences for our students at SMB Fatima Jinnah Government Girls School and Khatoon-e-Pakistan Government Girls School.

The enthusiasm of learning grew stronger when fall arrived. Dr. Farhat and Naila Mir hosted a "Girls Empowerment Awareness Seminar" at SMB Fatima Jinnah School, engaging 80 Grade 10 girls in discussions and practical advice on health management.

Zindagi Trust introduced a chess curriculum that was designed over 10 years to improve children's critical thinking, strategic planning, problem-solving, attention, and social-emotional abilities including sportsmanship and persistence. The Zindagi Trust website provides free access to this curriculum for all Pakistani schoolchildren.

Zindagi Trust, in collaboration with Bank Alfalah, is building a digital art lab at both of our adopted government schools to promote digital literacy and financial empowerment in these young girls.

Students from SMB Fatima Jinnah School took part in the Sports Fusion Throw Ball Tournament at the Gulistan Scout Sports Complex, which cultivated a love of sports as well as traits like as athleticism and collaboration.

Students in grades 4 through 9 attended a Japanese Calligraphy course at the State Bank of Pakistan Museum. Additionally, students at SMB Fatima Jinnah Girls celebrated English Literature Day 2024, with Grades 3 to 8 exploring storytelling.

Our kids triumphed in the State Bank of Pakistan's Financial Literacy Poster Competition, and Ayesha Yousuf along with Umme Hani, both students from SMB Fatima Jinnah School, have been chosen for the STEM Forward program. Their outstanding performance in earlier STEM events won them this unique chance.

The eighth-grade students began on an entrepreneurial adventure, developing company strategies, learning time management, and improving communication skills. Meanwhile, Girls Guide Organization welcomed 20 new grade 8 students who promised to support the Girl Guide Movement's beliefs.

Students in the Early Childhood Education (ECE) division participated in Earth Day activities such as tableaus and planting. Teachers planned an activity in which parents and kids created art out of recyclable materials.
