Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our project focused on improving the biodiversity of our lands. Biodiversity loss continue to be a main issue here as climate change, occurrence of natural disasters, poor soil and poverty all contribute to the loss of very biodiverse areas. Some of our flora and fauna are beginning to get extinct and repopulating vast areas with vlunerable and threatened species is very problematic. This reporting period, we tried to introduce new crops with good promise and one of these is the dragon fruit because it can thrive in difficult condition like when rain is scarce. Fruits of the dragon fruit is also sought after in the market and demand is always high. We were able to convince 25 farmers to grow dragon fruit in their backyards with the purpose of fruit production as well as to increase supply of planting materials.
Hoping for your continuing support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
