100 trees for the Apache Tribe

By Lizzy Rainey | Programs Manager

The People's Farm Orchard Planting
The People's Farm Orchard Planting

100 trees. 7 days. 5 orchards. Hundreds of Apache with access to fruit trees!

Ths spring saw a very special week spent with the White Mountain Apache tribe in Northeastern Arizona--we planted and distributed trees in order to bring back a cultural tradition of orchard-tending that is deep rooted in this community. New orchards now exist at the following White Mountain Apache Reservation locations:

Canyon Day Jr. High School School

Fort Apache Heritage Foundation

Ndee Bikiyaa (The People's Farm)

Dishchii'Bikoh (Cibecue Community School)

East Fork Lutheran School

The tribe specifically asked that we continue our work in the coming years, so please consider donating today to help us return next year with more fruit trees for the tribe!

To a fruitful future for all native peoples,

The FTPF Team
