By Cora Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friend,
Greetings from Samar and thank you very much for your continuing support to our project to provide safe sanitation for poor families affected by Typhoon Hagupit. Until now the situation here is difficult more so because typhoons are becoming more stronger and frequent. After Hagupit, we were hit again with another strong typhoon. However the good news is that our latrines and water systems built in the area are robust and have withstand strong winds. This period, we are starting a sanitation enterprise we call SaniShop were we market latrines and sanitation products for local governments and other NGO's and the proceeds we use to subsidize latrines for the poor. In so doing we will be able to expand and sustain our effort here as we intend to stay for another 5 years.
Again, thank you very much for your kind support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora
