Dear friends, we are happy to report that this time, your donation helped orphans with severe disabilities at the Znamyanka orphanage. The institution has more than 100 residents with mental and physical disabilities.
Thanks to your donation, we have provided help to the orphanage, with a total worth UAH 139,200 (USD 4,758).
BKC purchased six wardrobes to store children's clothes; we also bought a ramp, which is a must to ensure accessibility for wheelchair users, but the facility didn't have one, which was a huge impediment to the lives of the orphans.
Not having something as basic as a ramp in a facility with disabled people is a massive problem, but sadly, it is hardly surprising; it reflects the situation in Ukraine’s orphanages overall. Children in orphanages deserve to live in proper conditions. In reality, due to a severe lack of financing, orphanages depend on the mercy of kind-hearted people to ensure appropriate care for their pupils. Thank you so much for helping us ensure that children living in orphanages have the basics for adequate living conditions.
Please consider supporting our project to help childcare institutions again. It is unfortunate but true: without charitable help, these children won't have their most essential needs covered.
Warm regards,
Natalie Blinder
