Dear Supporters,

This is the final update we'll be sending from this project, which, thanks to being featured on Globalgiving, was able to secure $100,000 through Globalgiving grants to run 2 projects in the earthquake affected regions of Nepal where we are working.

The first project works to support psychological community-based first aid efforts aimed at children and the community of teachers and parents who support them.  Psychological First Aid (PFA) is a method recommended by many national and international expert groups, including the WHO, as an alternative to psychological debriefing. It outlines a humane and supportive response by members of a community with each other.

The second project continues the work of providing centres for the health and wellbeing of women of reproductive age and their children.

We share these final pictures from Dhading: It's called the hilly area of Nepal and it is extremely remote and difficult to access especially in the rainy season. It's moving for us observe the living conditions in this predominantly Dalit village. There are so many tiny 14 year old mothers and malnourished children. The women are extremely grateful for the health support and counseling they get from the Green Tara Trust community health promoter.

Thank you for everything you've done so that this project can continue!
